Baseboards collect the dust a vacuum pushes sideways, plus scuffs from shoes, furniture and vacuum heads — and because they run in an unbroken line around the room, once they are grey the whole room reads as tired no matter how clean the floor is. A mop does not clean a baseboard; it wets the top edge and leaves a tide line. These get done by hand, along with the door frames and trim that sit in the same eyeline.
How It Works

Dry First
Loose dust vacuumed off the top edge and the floor junction before anything wet.

Wash by Hand
Full length wiped by hand, into the grooves rather than across them.

Work the Scuffs
Marks from shoes and furniture worked off individually.

Frames & Check
Door frames and trim finished, then the line checked from standing height.
